Emmerdale’s Danny Miller reflects on the birth of his son ahead of appearing on I’m A Celebrity
He became a father for the first time last month.
And Emmerdale actor Danny Miller has reflected on the moment his two-week old son was born, admitting he was ‘in bits.’
The Northerner, 30, and his fiancée Steph Jones, also 30, welcomed Albert on October 25 at 9.16am – after lengthy 20-hour labour.

Speaking to OK!, Danny, who plays Aaron Dingle in the Yorkshire Dales soap, said: ‘I was in bits. I was very emotional. It’s made me much more in love with Steph, too. I was absolutely in awe of her and we’re absolutely in awe of him.’
The name Albert has a poignant meaning, one which the couple explained during their first interview since becoming parents.
Danny explained that he loved the name when he was growing up, and unbeknown to him, it was the name of his fiancée’s late grandfather.

Danny – who made his television debut on BBC drama series Grange Hill – added that through school, he only knew of him as ‘Steph’s grandad’.
Midwife Steph chimed: ‘Danny said to me, “I’ve got a name that I really love but I’m not sure what you’ll think about it,” and then when he said Albert I said it must be a sign as that was my grandad’s name.’
The topic of tying the knot also featured in their candid chat, with the couple revealing they’re still planning their nuptials for next year.

The British Soap Award winner, who is rumoured to be taking part in this year’s I’m A Celebrity, said how he’s always wanted to marry Steph, but it will be more of a family event since the arrival of Albert.
Danny and Steph were elated back in February when they discovered they were expecting after coming close to tuning to IVF treatment after a year of trying to conceive.
In a previous interview with OK! about the prospect of being a dad, Danny said: ‘I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous, I think it’s good nerves, though. But sometimes I do get a bit like, “Oh God, what if I do this wrong?”‘
